Being a VATSIM-beginner I stepped over this page and realized "ok, there are more than one pilot client software to choose from. So which would I use for MSFS 2020?"
Then I saw, that vPilot works with (quotes from the page) "Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, P3D and FSX" but swift only with "P3D, FSX, FS9, X-Plane only".

As a developer I thought by myself why would swift work with FSX but not with MSFS 2020? The tasks it has to to should be the same for both simulators which base on the same core.

Swift's homepage then confirmed, that Swift also works with MSFS 2020.

So the page https://my.vatsim.net/learn/vatsim-basics/section/5 needs to be updated with MSFS 2020 as a additional sim for Swift.

In the end I still do not know, which one to use. I need to try them.

What I would like to have is ATIS in the client and a realistic sounding radio voice sound effect.

P.S.

Is the A320 of MSFS working properly with the COM radios? This and the FBW aircraft use other memory offsets to handle the frequencies...

If you'd like a simplistic client, go for vPilot. It does its job and will stay out of your way. If you'd like additional functions and if you don't mind investing more time in installing and setting up the client, try swift.
