Q about the vPilot red text warning with MFS

Just a curiosity question.  When vPilot can't match a model, and warns that it will try to match another model to that initial rejected match request, how do we know if it was successful?  Is there a way to make vPilot roll back to a generic version of the airliner?  Example:  a special livery of a Delta 737 isn't able to be matched, can vPilot be taught to then just match it with the standard Delta livery instead?  Same for aircraft models....if you don't have a 737-900 match, then have it match a 737-800 instead, since nobody really cares that it's not an exact match?

Thanks for any insight.

Note that those red messages are errors, not warnings. They are telling you that the model is faulty in some way. A model match has already happened, and vPilot told the sim to create an instance of that model, and the sim returned an error. Could be that the model is corrupt, or simply not even installed.

If the errors stop coming in for that aircraft, it was successful. (Note that if there are more than 5 failures for a given aircraft, it gives up.)

vPilot has no concept of a "special livery", so this question doesn't really make sense. Have a look at the vPilot documentation for a description of the model matching process.

This is automatic. vPilot has a list of similar type codes that it uses for loose matching. This is also described in the documentation.
