[9th Oct 2021, 1200-1500Z] The Golden Route - Taiwan and Hong Kong

This is the monthly regular event between Taiwan and Hong Kong!

The route between Taiwan and Hong Kong is one of the busiest routes in the world - with even up to 80 flights in one day back in 2017!

VATROC and HKvACC hope to create chances to practice and improve our skills, by holding a monthly regular event. These events are not only geared towards our new pilots and our new ATC controllers, but they are also open to any pilots at all skill levels.

Thus, we will provide staffed ATC services between Taiwan and Hong Kong on the second Saturday of EVERY MONTH.

We will connect Songshan(RCSS) and Hong Kong Kai Tak(VHHX) for this time in October 2021.
Each following month will have a different airport pair than the current month.

We hope to see everyone come and join in the fun and excitement of live virtual aviation!

SID assignment in RCSS will be variable according to aircraft type, filed altitude and runway in use. Please refer to the link below.

When RWY 28 of RCSS is in use, due to incorrect course/position of RCSS LDA RWY28 in most simulators, Taipei Approach will assign RNP or VOR RWY 28 approach instead.
If you have a correcting LDA RWY28 approach settings, please report to Taipei Approach on the initial contact.
