Hey All,

With the new update to the servers with the maintenance, the Euroscope Servers haven't updated for me, vatSys has. This has been a problem, that hasn't seemed to be fixed, updated the servers, hit connect, freezes for a second, and deletes the new servers going back to the old ones....any ideas to fix this?

seems to be also a problem over here. I can't read or get the new server addresses. How are they updated?

Okay, for those who have equal problems:

With changing the structure of data servers, new servers ip's became active while the old servers were switched off. Normally, this should be no issue if an actual sector file delivers the section of new servers. Unfortunately, some don't; especially those who are not changed or don't see a regular update (i.e. the supervisors sector file set) won't have the new server IP's. In earlier times, there were some lists published on major VATSIM websites delivering this information, but I wasn't able to find some of them.

Workaround for those (maybe rare) cases:

Download VRC. In the package there is an actual server list. You can copy that text file into a place where you have the Euroscope setup. Start ES, go to Open Sct and Load VATSIM Server IP Addresses. Select the server.txt you just copied into your ES Program area.

I agree this might be a bit quick and dirty, but at least it works. If you have other solutions, please post them here.

Best

And nooow:

the real solution:

in General Settings go to Page 2, last line. If there still is the "metacraft" service enabled, set it to "Override" and add https://data.vatsim.net/vatsim-servers.txt for the new services.

And also be sure delete or empty the ipaddr_local.txt file, as the entries there might override the ones downloaded from servers.
