Hi all!

We've just wrapped up another edition of Cross the Land, and I'm honestly out for words. Every edition of this event that we have organized gets better and better every time!

A big thank you to all the pilots who flew with or without a slot from our event airports! Remember, we make these events not just for ourselves but also for the network as a whole and for others to enjoy. These types of events are what attract people to the network and keep it going forward.

Big thanks to all air traffic controllers who have staffed their departure and arrival airfields from delivery up to center and the enroute controllers who helped connect the bridge between Europe and the Middle East! This is another edition of Cross the Land where we could ultimately provide coverage throughout the event routes.

To get everything working as planned for the event, it takes almost 30 vACCs to work together to provide the best service possible to the pilots. A big kudos to all the vACCs involved! Without you, the crossing between Europe and the Middle East would be a long quiet UNICOM ride.

In terms of statistics, we've had a total of 576 flights crossing from Europe to the Middle East, with Amsterdam taking the most departures and Dubai taking the most arrivals with 180 arrivals! Kudos to the Emirates vACC team for staying online even after the 4-hour arrival window to accommodate the last few traffic into the airfield.

As always, not everything works as planned. We are aware of the issues with the pilot briefings, and we will get that sorted by the next edition of Cross the Land. Regarding feedback, we will be sending out several forms to pilots and air traffic controllers involved and individual vACC staff to know what went well and what did not go through nicely. Please find the links for the following:

Pilot feedback: https://forms.gle/V2Tfg8SBhqedAftW8

Pilot feedback (those who didn't manage to fly): https://forms.gle/EXLwSU5kQUvn7Z9c6

Air Traffic Controllers: https://forms.gle/UPs1Pe2s91161Mbt

These feedback forms will be open for the next 48-72 hours. All responses are anonymous. No email addresses, VATSIM CIDs, or names will be collected upon submitting.

Once again, a bit of thank you to everyone involved and making this another successful event. We've got many great things coming as the planning team does not stop working.

Speaking of the planning team being workaholics, the planning team is happy to announce the two dates for Cross the Land: 2022.

Cross the Land: Westbound 2022 will happen on the 19th of March 2022, and Cross the Land: Eastbound 2022 will occur on the 24th of September 2022. So mark both days in your calendars and be ready for another action-packed event!

All the best,

Cross the Land Planning Team
