Invalid CID/Password // new beta xPilot client // no P0 // NOT A NEW ACCOUNT

Hi support team,

 

as the subject title indicates:

I'd like to start flying on Velocity, as such downloaded the newest xPilot 2.0.0 beta. Now, I get the invalid CID/Password error. I've tried typing manually, copy-pasting, logging to different servers, resetting my password, running as admin, but still get this error.

 

Note, I've flown on Vatsim just fine last week or so... And I've been a member since 2010, back then I did my P0. I went to check however if this might be the issue, and perhaps re-do it, but I don't see it either on my assigned, nor completed exams.

(edit) I forgot to add that I've tried deliberately entering a wrong passowrd and that gives a different error: Network authentication error: Password is incorrect. With the correct password, it gives me the invalid CID/Password error

Hi Pedro,

Your account is active.  

Quick question.  When you downloaded the beta client, did you see the big note in huge type in the middle of the page that says, 

xPilot v2.0.0-beta.18 Pre-release

This version will not work until the scheduled maintenance is finished. The maintenance is scheduled to begin at 2200 UTC and may take up to an hour to complete. If you plan on flying on the network before the maintenance begins, then DO NOT upgrade xPilot early.

Just curious if we needed to make the font size any bigger.  😉 😉 😉

No offense meant, just teasing a little, don't mean to be too snarky.    😉 😉 😉

Unacceptable!

Should be twice as large, in a different font and in bold red!

(no offense taken, such lack of care to read the whole text should indeed be punished, and I take mine with grace).
