David Briggs Posted February 2, 2022 at 02:35 AM Posted February 2, 2022 at 02:35 AM (edited) see attachment In trying to clean some issues in Xplane, I updated my GPU software from AMD. big mistake. Then, I tried to install newer xpilot software. bigger mistake The beta2...16 screwed up xpilot 1.3.38 (ED: turns out this is an ancient version. cannot find the current production version. Nothing but beta on that site) and now I it does not see xplane after it loads and so wont start. I have reinstalled xpilot 1.3.38 to no avail. The CSL files still sit in the correct spot under xplane. any thoughts on how to fix this? Is there a nuke for xpiloit that will llet me start over? do I just remove it from the xplane directory structure? Thanks! Robert Shearman Jr Posted February 2, 2022 at 02:18 PM Posted February 2, 2022 at 02:18 PM 1.3.38 is not "ancient" but it no longer works as of Monday's server upgrade to "Velocity" (i.e. more frequent position updates). For right now, only the 2.0 beta version works. Given that Velocity is literally less than 48 hours old, hopefully you'll forgive them calling the pilot client a "beta" for a couple weeks. 1 Cheers, -R. Board of Governors Don Desfosse Posted February 2, 2022 at 04:01 PM Board of Governors Posted February 2, 2022 at 04:01 PM I would suggest you remove all traces of all versions of xPilot from your computer (perhaps using Windows Add or Remove Programs) and then install a fresh version of the latest beta (currently beta 20). That seems to be helping many people. Don Desfosse Vice President, Operations
