XPilot window resize

The new XPilot client needs some work.

I initially installed it as part of the Velocity Beta rollout but due to it not opening, opening in a window that I couldn't resize or just plain not finding Xplane I uninstalled and reinstalled the older version.....works(ed) perfectly until today when the only working version of Xpilot (for me) was deemed obsolete and the new "Beta" version enforced.

So...

Trying to work out the bugs again with no roll back available.

First off. Installed.

Xplane shut down

Old Xpilot uninstalled

PC restarted....

New Xpilot installed (not without issues) and this is the only window that opens and I can't resize it or interact with it in any way.

Uninstall option not working. Not showing up in Windows uninstall programs. Eventually found, uninstalled, PC restarted, reinstalled (in another way as it now directed the install) only to reproduce the same fault.

Respectfully request the previous (1.3.8?) version be reinstated until XPilot moves off Beta and becomes stable with appropriate installation instructions (for those off us that had no trouble installing previous versions)

You’re the first person I’ve seen report this. Do you have your display scaling set to something other than 100%?

The old version of xPilot is no longer compatible with the network since the Velocity update. So even if I were to give you the installer, you wouldn’t be able to connect. 😄

Thanks Justin,

Yes I know the old version won't connect and it's frustrating as it installed and worked perfectly.

The window is now still opening in small size but allows me to interact with it and I can open it up larger.

I was able to do this after uninstalling again, downloading Beta 21 and reinstalling.

It still won't see my Xplane installation "Waiting for xplane connection...."

and it now has a CSL path error as well. I have checked my CSL is still there and remapped it in the plugin (twice).

Going for another uninstall and reinstall.

Really very dissappointed andmissing an online flyin due to this circus.

Is there any way to make the Vatsim Client smaller with smaller text?  Like the older version?  I only have a 24" screen and only one screen - so the smaller 1.3.8 size was good for me.  And I used to be able to program a key to get the window to disappear and reappear when wanted - can't do that anymore either. These features were handy....

Apologies, missed it in my excitement.

Running two monitors.

Main monitor running at 3840x2160 rather than default.

Second monitor running at default settings.

When I start xPilot it starts in the small window as per the picture but after about 10-15 sec it becomes 'active' I see the initial messages scrolling in the corner and I'm able to click on it and resize it.

Not bothering me now I know just to wait for it to wake up.

Appreciate the assistance on the Discord as well.

Chris

It is so frustrating, instead I use my time with flying and practicing, I am waisting my time with xPilot. This software (22, 27, and 32) fails already in the beginning, because upon startup you can neither define the location on your screens where it opens, nor can you resize and move the mask as long as the two question fields are not acknowledged (smart when these fields are out of range at the screens and you cannot move the mask at that stage). Uninstall and re-install is no option either, xPilot always opens partly on a sub monitor and the buttons are out of range.

1) at all times the mask must be moveable, regardless what kind of questions popping up and you can´t see and reach them

2) the keys "Y" and "N" must work to answere the poped up question field

3) there must be a pre-defined screen size in the setups

Please fix, because of now, I no longer can participate on VATSIM, I am unable to fish the half disappeared mask to my main screen

thank you

THis didn't work for me, and I have the same problem regardng the X-Pilot <SETTINGS> screen size.  I have tried using "system enhanced" as per above, or "Application" as recommended on the Windows 10 website. Both show the dragging arrow symbols initially, but they do not 'grab' the sub-window edges, and then they disappear, and willnot re-appear unless whole procedure is repeated. his is a crazy situation.

At present it means that X-Pilot is unusable as I am unable to set either mic or headset.
