VATSIM-UK are looking for an Instrument Rating Instructor to lead their VATSIM P2 (SEIR) course.

General Responsibilities:

  • Has overall responsibility for training of the P2 SEIR(A) course in accordance with VATSIM UKs P2 SEIR(A) training syllabus;
  • Maintains training standards of the P2 SEIR(A) course;
  • Select and train new mentors for the P2 SEIR(A) course;
  • Organise group seminars as appropriate;
  • Issue training places to students on the P2 SEIR(A) course;
  • Is the point of contact for mentors of the P2 SEIR(A) course;
  • Work with the Operations department to produce and review documentation as required;
  • Provides the Pilot Training Manager with administrative support in relation to P2 SEIR(A) course were appropriate;
  • Holds a continuous review of the P2 SEIR(A) course and leverages opportunities for improvement where appropriate.

The candidate must:

  • Hold an P1 PPL(A) rating;
  • Have experience mentoring within the division;
  • Be a home member of VATSIM UK or able to transfer to the UK division as a home member;
  • Be a member in good standing.

Ideally, the candidate should hold a P2 SEIR(A) rating. In the absence of this rating, the candidate should have and demonstrate a sound understanding of IFR procedures during their application.
