Igor Braginsky Posted February 7, 2022 at 05:01 AM Posted February 7, 2022 at 05:01 AM Dear VATSim'ers Just joined this great community and just started to learn my PPL so please apologise if question is stupid: if there is a place where I can see ATIS for specific airport in text? For example yesterday I was trying my very first fight at EPWA and in ATIS hear something new for me. It sound something like "uniform arrivals yankee ils rw33". I never meet such formula before, so would like top google it and to get understanding but for this the original text would be highly useful... So may pls gurus appoint me to the place or way to obtain it ? And also if somebody will tell me where to read about this formula - I would be happy also Best regards to everybody Igor
Andrew McCabe Posted February 7, 2022 at 08:42 AM Posted February 7, 2022 at 08:42 AM (edited) If you are using something like VatSpy , VAT-Spy (rosscarlson.dev) you can just right click on the Airport and select the ATIS from the drop down list. You can also use a dot command in vPilot Documentation - vPilot - Pilot Client for VATSIM (rosscarlson.dev) Andrew Edited February 7, 2022 at 08:42 AM by Andrew McCabe
Dace Nicmane Posted February 7, 2022 at 08:53 AM Posted February 7, 2022 at 08:53 AM Uniform arrivals refer to runway 33 arrivals because all the STARs to runway 33 have the letter U, for example AGAVA5U. ILS Y approach is one of the approaches to runway 33.

Kevin Townsend Posted February 7, 2022 at 12:23 PM Posted February 7, 2022 at 12:23 PM (edited) If the airport ATIS appears in your vPilot left hand pane "Controllers in Range" simply double click it... The ATIS will appear in the right hand pane "Messages". It can be cut n paste, however: It is generally poorly justified across lines (Maybe a note for the devs?) Hope this helps Edited February 7, 2022 at 12:23 PM by Kevin Townsend The only time you have too much fuel onboard is when you're on fire!
