Ruth McTighe 824054 Posted January 11, 2007 at 03:55 AM Posted January 11, 2007 at 03:55 AM yes, I know a VATSIM controller who has the same problem at University. It is most likely blocked ports, and you don;t stand much chance of getting them opened so you can play "games" on school computers. Funnily enough, I expec tyou are supposed to be studying on them. ruth Ruth McTighe Heathrow Director, Essex Radar, Thames Radar, London Information [Mod - Happy Thoughts]t webmistress CIX VFR Club http://www.cixvfrclub.org.uk/ Webmistress Plan-G http://www.tasoftware.co.uk/ Now not a VATanything
Steven Perry Posted January 11, 2007 at 04:32 AM Posted January 11, 2007 at 04:32 AM Ryan, Try justifying your VATSIM habit with any coursework the university offers. Use some imagination if there is no aviation program there, but make a convincing case and try selling it to the IT folks. You may get somewhere once they realize you're not playing Doom.
