Jim Harris Posted February 21, 2022 at 03:00 PM Posted February 21, 2022 at 03:00 PM Hallooo I've looked at a few posts but still not totally clear, Can I fly from Gatwick to Edinburgh in my DC-6 using the following VOR to VOR route? LAM DCT BKY DCT POL DCT TLA at FL120 Would I be expected to fly the LAM6M SID ? (it does work, just about!) And.... Given thet I don't want to fry my engines I have to descend at around 1000 ft/min and 300K ground speed and my level speed on an approach segment is around 130 knots, what would an ATC expect me to do at the other end? Obvs... I CAN do this but I don't want to ruin anyones day... 🙂 Jim Harris 832078
Daniel Faria Posted February 21, 2022 at 04:01 PM Posted February 21, 2022 at 04:01 PM hhhm I guess you can do that route but sometimes atc changes it abit so other plane can go alingened to the runway and not alover the place. usally they like to give you a sid but if you ask they can give you radar vectors to lam
