xPilot low FPS

Hello guys, can someone give me a clue why I could have big FPS hit since xPilot v2?

On a fresh xp11 (11.55 vulcan enabled) install with some basic plugins (ASXPConnect, AutoGate, AviTab, BetterPushback, FlyWithLua, landing_rate, SAM, TerrainRadar,  xPilot, XPUIPC) all up-to-date. I have 35-38 FPS in LevelUP at heavy airport facing the buildings. After I install (with run as adim) xPilot, I have 24-27 FPS without even been conencted. I tried to remove and move back plugin by plugin and concluded that this hit is caused by xPilot (latest v2 build 27). I can be even more specific it is caused by file "\X-Plane 11\Resources\plugins\xPilot\win_x64x\xPilot.xpl". If I remove this exact file FPS goes back to 35, but ofcourse can't connect to network.

So my question is - how I am supposed to overcome this (I sure can call it low programing skills or bug) and enjoy again network like it was with xPilot v1? Or can someone provide me download link to xPilot v1 or this file "xPilot.xpl" (if it is still supported by servers)?

Good question. I experienced the same with the v2b27 version. FPS dropped like 20-30% in average of what it was before. Even when not connected to VATSIM at all.

Sorry, this is a known issue with beta 27. This will be fixed in the next version; in the meantime, you can downgrade back to beta 22 if you so choose: https://github.com/xpilot-project/xpilot/releases/tag/v2.0.0-beta.22

Awesome, Justin. At least you are aware of it. Thanks for all your time spending on xPilot development, though. You're doing a great job!

Is it possible to use v1? For me velocity is not importand. I prefer smooth experience and good FPS than spotting other planes.

No, v1 no longer works because of the Velocity upgrade.

OK will try again b.22 because it wasn't much better than b.27.

Be advised you may have "TCAS jumpers" on b.22, otherwise it's ok. maybe i'll try to step back to b.22, too and check the difference again, after i landed at LTAG in ~1 hour

I can confirm:

no plugin - 35-38 FPS

b.27 - 24-27 FPS

b.22 - 28-31 FPS

Not bad, not terrible 😄

We will wait for better version (like xSquawkBox with impact close to zero).

One more question addressed to the dev team - Will ever we have a version with close to zero impact on performance? As long as I can see from data output numbers, it is the CPU that gets more load because of the plugin.

Ok, installed the latest (Beta.31) version 2 hrs ago, and don't have any "hard-hit" FPS issues anymore at this moment.
