Alec Henderson Posted March 3, 2022 at 04:55 PM Posted March 3, 2022 at 04:55 PM Hello, I have been learning about the F/A-18 Super Hornet and all I would like to do is fly around doing realistic training procedures near my home airport of KNUW (Whidbey NAS). According to some docs I found online, I am prohibited from doing so unless I spend months on end training to get accepted into a VSO that may or may not be even active? I looked on the VSO list and there are only two that look interesting, one requires me to train for months (which I don’t want to do) and the other I submitted an application that was never returned. So lemme get this straight; unless I spend months training and committing countless hours to a VSO with 9 pilots I can not fly my Super Hornet? Matthew Bartels Posted March 3, 2022 at 06:52 PM Posted March 3, 2022 at 06:52 PM You can fly the super hornet from A to B, but you must be a member of a VSO organization to do military maneuvers or sorties. You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. Forever and always "Just the events guy"

Do you have any recommendations for Navy VSOs? There aren’t any….
