I can't say because I haven't spent any time researching how to make VR-compatible apps for MSFS. Can you give me an example of a third-party external app (one that runs as a separate process, like vPilot does) that is accessible from the toolbar like you describe?

Both FS2Crew and Navigraph have apps that run inside the sim from the toolbar.

Hello guys,    Is There a plan to take vPilot inside sim environment? I mean, while in VR i can't check vPilot or vatsim map easily to check for ATC Availability, if I could take vpilot or e

I guess thats a no then ! ...a real shame...more and more are using VR, and this pretty much makes it almost impossible to use vatsim while flying Vr without repeatedly taking goggles off and on...

Hmm.. looks pretty straight forward.  I have a plugin running already and logging things 🙂  Now to figure out how to communicate with an FS window and we are in business (maybe text files to start wit

Are you sure they're separate processes?

I have no idea. They appear to be but I don't know how they have been implemented. Toolbar Pushback is another app which appears to be a separate process.

This problem is VERY close to being completely solved now with the excellent work of Dave Black and his superb VS Radio which is currently in beta testing....
Check out the links in page 2 of this thread...

Yes, just discovered that and I can't wait. It will make a huge difference in VR. I was on final approach yesterday into Bob Hope and I got pinged by SoCal App to call him. But too late. I had no idea he had come online.

It certainly does..I used the beta last night in a busy Berlin Vatsim flyin in VR with full ATC coverage and it would have simply been impossible without it ... particularly the map visualising where the various controllers are in relation to your aircraft , and autotuning the radios with a simple click.
Awesome stuff, and hopefully ready for release quite soon now...Dave is doing a great job tweaking it in response to feedback from the beta  testers..

As VR user and not being able to use vPilot seamlessly while in the "reality" I am quite interested in trying this mod.
