Jonathan Pinkerton Posted March 17, 2022 at 01:55 AM Posted March 17, 2022 at 01:55 AM (edited) Attached please find my log.txt file. ... okay, .txt attachments not allowed. Please find the .txt file below. I was booting up the sim and pressed a few number keys trying to get a better view, then this happened. https://drive.google.com/file/d/11LUGdx5JgdPq3AlB7TJXqrshpQfveQEq/view?usp=sharing Edited March 17, 2022 at 02:25 AM by Justin Shannon Copied log to external link
Justin Shannon Posted March 17, 2022 at 02:29 AM Posted March 17, 2022 at 02:29 AM The log file gives zero indication that xPilot caused X-Plane to crash. Typically, the log file will say if a plugin caused the crash. In this case, I'm guessing it was some sort of video driver crash since the log gives no details. If there's a .rpt or .dmp file from this crash, send it my way and I'll check it out. https://beta.xpilot-project.org/#/xplane-crash?id=x-plane-quit-unexpectedly Controller (C3), Los Angeles ARTCC Developer: xPilot, vATIS
Jonathan Pinkerton Posted March 17, 2022 at 05:52 PM Author Posted March 17, 2022 at 05:52 PM Thank you. I saw that the log ended thusly: Quote 14:09:55.436 I/PLG: The plugin xPilot 2.0.0-beta.32 is setting global TCAS override to 0. The plugin xPilot 2.0.0-beta.32 is releasing control of AI aircraft. 14:09:55.436 I/PLG: The plugin xPilot 2.0.0-beta.32 is setting global TCAS override to 0. 14:09:55.438 P/GVA: Excessive position delta - (2 frames, 18.020 sec) ... and since xPilot is mentioned in 3 out of 4 of those lines, I assumed it had something to do with it. (The other line is Delta VA ACARS.) Perhaps my assumption is wrong. In the future if I suspect xPilot, I will follow the recommended procedure. Thanks for the response! Lauri Uusitalo Posted March 17, 2022 at 06:31 PM Posted March 17, 2022 at 06:31 PM (edited) This was one of the most interesting log.txt files I have seen, if timestamps are correct. ACARS software (GVA) seems to like to spam the log.txt file perhaps fastest turnaround of an A319, about 4 minutes from landing to takeoff, including FMS reload and refuelling long idling of xPlane (about 14 hours) in Main menu(?) after landing and before loading the new plane Unfortunately no clear reason for dying though. Jonathan Pinkerton Posted March 21, 2022 at 02:42 AM Author Posted March 21, 2022 at 02:42 AM (edited) I finally got a CTD where X-Plane flew it through the crash and pointed a finger, rather than just dying without comment.
