Help configuring Swift...

Hello,

Well I was findable able to get a used pc and install W7 for my flight Sim.  After about a week of configuring I was able to get Swift installed and just finished my first flight on VATSIM.  A couple things I noticed were that even though I configured Swift to use a particular audio card (which it did), it also sent other audio to my primary card (such as ptt click).

I searched all through the options but couldn't find another output setting.  I also tried disabling my one card in swift but I can't disable one selection, only all or non.

Not sure if anyone has a solution to that, but I would appreciate it.

Additionally I noticed that's I always receive COM2 traffic, I'm not certain I can transmit on COM 2 either.   There seem to be check options in the audio tab for such selections, and one option to the right for synching with fs.  When I unselected all the options and select only sync, next time I look at the page it's reselected them; and as I say, COM2 always acts like I have the "BOTH" button always active (receive COM 1&2).

The only other problem I was having was that the screens are not formatted at all nicely.   They don't resize well, and with the default configuration I cannot fit them on any of my screens, so I have this weird Frankenstein setup where I have to view one part of the window on one display and another part on a different display, the mouse has to work 'in the dark'; and if I ever have to navigate around I need to try and grab the window and move it so I can view what ever button I'm trying to push... let alone see information.  I certainly didn't find that part user friendly.

Luckily ATC, was not forcing keyboard texting... I'm not sure if that's a thing anymore, ie a requirement... I think my days off trying to keyboard text while flying an airplane are over... I have enough of a challenge on my hands trying to read maps and remember all of the systems and buttons without a keyboard flopping on my lap while I'm trying to bank and maintain stable flight as per directed; it's difficult enough just trying to talk at times.

Hourly everyone is well... I'm going to post regarding the whole system transition in another forum here, it's good to be back FINALLY!

Safe skies!

Hi Ryan,

I'm currently on tour, so unable for an elaborate answer.

Have you watched our tutorial video(s) and checked the website? There's one video called "program tour", which may answer some of your questions.

Hi Andreas,

Embarrassingly I have not, I only have internet service through my mobile phone and opted to skip the cost of the data to watch the videos; I'll go have them a look, thank you for the feedback, I did see them...

Thank you.

P.S. Remarkable how my flight sim journey started with dial up internet and now I'm connecting my phone wirelessly to my home network to run flight simulator online with no appreciable lag.

So this did not solve my problem.  I have enabled both the sync buttons and fs does not seem to update Swift, not like in the video anyways.

Enjoy your travels, thank you for your help.

Hi Andreas,

Sorry for the delayed response... I guess I didn't get a notification.

Details:

fs9.1 comp.& opt. admin/winxp sp3/LAA

SWIFT was just installed a couple weeks ago, it is the current version, no available update (I can't recall, if necessary I'll update later)

Windows 7 64bit Pro fully installed/ licensed/ patched/ updated

Another thing Is like to do... I would like to add hotkeys but my cockpit hardware doesn't talk to Swift, is there a way to export keys from fsuipc into Swift?

FSUIPC 3.999Z9~

Thank you for your assistance.

Well I'm not making much headway here, but the Swift support is only on Discord, which I'm not apart of... is there any way I can contact someone via email, or another forum?
