ZACHARY KAPSIOTIS Posted April 3, 2022 at 10:38 PM Posted April 3, 2022 at 10:38 PM When taxiing at an airport, I hear ground controllers directing pilots, for example, to "follow that triple 777" and the response from the pilot is "I see it" or some other affirmative response. In my case other aircraft on the VATSIM network are not visible. How can I see other aircraft ? Is there some option somewhere ? Is it addon software that's needed ? Kirk Christie Posted April 4, 2022 at 09:50 PM Posted April 4, 2022 at 09:50 PM You need to download and install AI traffic and use vpilot to model match. I dont currently know what's on the market for FSX, but Google should be able to help. Free and payware options will work. ZACHARY KAPSIOTIS Posted April 4, 2022 at 10:17 PM Author Posted April 4, 2022 at 10:17 PM Kirk, Thanks for your help. I already have AI traffic installed (Ultimate Traffic 2) and I can see model matching being done when I start vPilot. So what you're telling me is that some of the AI traffic I see could be VATSIM aircraft, correct ? Due to the unpredictable and sometimes annoying behavior of AI traffic, sometimes I turn-off the AI traffic feature so moving forward I will leave it on. Please let me know. Kirk Christie Posted April 4, 2022 at 10:40 PM Posted April 4, 2022 at 10:40 PM When connected to vatsim you should set the AI slider to 0 and turn it off in the simulator menu. Then, all of the AI models you see in when online will be vatsim traffic only, vpilot will do the matching. If you have AI on then you will be seeing VATSIM traffic and non VATSIM simulator generated AI. Kirk, I am assuming by "turn it off in the simulator menu" you mean the UT2 | Start or Stop Traffic option under Add-ons ?

I don't use UT2, but yes more than likely. Also in the FSX menu selected AI traffic to zero Kirk Christie - VATPAC C3 VATPAC Undercover ATC Agent Worldflight Perth 737-800 Crew Member
