Hi I'm about to start using vatsim , om buying an all I'm one headset and mic , will the mic still work as assuming I plug into the headphone socket.

Sorry if it sounds dumb question

Personally, I would suggest you get a USB headset.  I do not have experience with "all in one" units, so can't advise there.

Is this the headset that you plug in via aux into your PC? In that case, it depends on your PC. Some PCs will support the microphone via the jack, some won't, I would try it out and look into your audio drivers.

I would second the suggestion of going for a USB headset.  My personal experience, albeit going back many years, was that analogue headsets ( ie those with two 3.5mm jacks for mic and headphone ) caused more problems and caused conflicts with sound card drivers.    USB is pretty much "plug and play".
