Robin Taylor Posted June 5, 2022 at 02:51 PM Posted June 5, 2022 at 02:51 PM (edited) Normally my XPlane runs at 25-35fps with my settings, but the moment I connect to VATSIM using XPilot it lowers it to way below 20fps, forcing me to disconnect. This doesn't happen all the time but occasionally it does and it's very annoying Edited June 5, 2022 at 02:52 PM by Robin Taylor
Lauri Uusitalo Posted June 23, 2022 at 05:42 AM Posted June 23, 2022 at 05:42 AM I guess more information is needed. Like x-plane log, cpu usage, plugins, etc.
Alistair Thomson Posted June 23, 2022 at 07:43 PM Posted June 23, 2022 at 07:43 PM I think that Lauri is giving you a hint! The client software on its own is probably quite light on resources but when you connect to the network there are additional loads on the machine, and combining that load with the xPilot load, it may be that your machine is struggling. You can help by reducing graphics quality etc to offload some processing effort. If that works, it's a sure indication that your machine may need some upgrade if you want to use X-Plane Alistair Thomson === Definition: a gentleman is a flying instructor in a Piper Cherokee who can change tanks without getting his face slapped.
