Does anyone have any tips on flying the Hudson River SFRA on VATSIM? Best place to start and finish to remain out of controlled airspace as much as possible? What flight plan should be filed if flying VFR?

I understand the mandatory reporting points and would simply announce those on 122.8.

A good chart to review is the New York Special Flight Rules https://skyvector.com/?ll=40.88923399979099,-73.8705377290604&chart=160&zoom=5.  Make note of the airspace restrictions.  Above 1300 you are in Class B airspace and need a clearance.

Here's fun adventure, during a major ZNY event fly the skyline outside the Class B and give the controllers something to worry about, "Will he break the BRAVO?"
