Thomas Bell Posted July 29, 2022 at 06:00 PM Posted July 29, 2022 at 06:00 PM (edited) I am flying with a virtual airline. To connect with others during events a proxy server is used then connect to vPilot. I have recently had Windows 10 and MS FS2020 reinstalled. Since then I receive this error. It occurs whatever aircraft is being used. Can someone help Please Edited July 29, 2022 at 08:45 PM by Thomas Bell

Thomas Bell Posted July 30, 2022 at 05:45 AM Author Posted July 30, 2022 at 05:45 AM (edited) Good morning Ross and thanks for taking the time to help. The version I have downloaded from the VA website and using is 1.1.5638.40065 The VA has instructions not to update if asked. I do get asked to upgrade to version 1.1.6184 28380 but of course refuse. Below some further which may be of use. I have asked about this within the the VA however a specific and successful answer has not been found. I think the download from VA is as should be as I have used it before and of course many others too. Process starting below. FS2020 is up and running, Proxy is connected, vPilot is connected, Within the first minute the error shows. You may notice from my screenshot I was in the process of start-up procedure and it showed. Sometimes it shows when a keyboard key is pressed. I can move the Error screen to the adjacent monitor out of visuals and I can fly as normal until a key is selected. Any other info required please let me know. Tom Edited July 30, 2022 at 06:04 AM by Thomas Bell
Ross Carlson Posted July 30, 2022 at 02:12 PM Posted July 30, 2022 at 02:12 PM Thomas, that is a really old version of vPilot that doesn't even connect to VATSIM any more. This is the VATSIM forums and we only provide support for users of the VATSIM network here. Board of Governors Don Desfosse Posted July 30, 2022 at 02:22 PM Board of Governors Posted July 30, 2022 at 02:22 PM Ross is being nice.... Your VA's use of vPilot for anything other than VATSIM is a breach of the software license, as an entity and by each individual, and punishable by law. Your VA's redistribution of the product is also a breach of the software license, also punishable by law. 1 Don Desfosse Vice President, Operations
