Bruce Boyd Posted July 31, 2022 at 03:18 AM Posted July 31, 2022 at 03:18 AM Hello, I’m running X-plane 11.55 and Xpilot, I’m happy to report that they do load up together. My only problem now is when I connect I cannot hear anyone including ATIS. When I use the PTT the the TX turns green. Again, all the software/hardware seems to be working just fine. So it comes down to, do I assume since the connection works it’s all good or does someone have an idea of how I can verify it. I have called atc with no response, possibly I’m out of range or the mic is not working. Thank you.
Robert Shearman Jr Posted July 31, 2022 at 04:21 AM Posted July 31, 2022 at 04:21 AM tune both com1 and com2 to 122.8 set TX to either and RX to both transmit on one and you should hear yourself on the other Cheers, -R.

Christoph Reule Posted July 31, 2022 at 11:12 AM Posted July 31, 2022 at 11:12 AM You can also use something like 122.75 (I personally use 122.65) for the initial TX/RX check to keep clear of the UNICOM frequency.
Robert Shearman Jr Posted July 31, 2022 at 06:58 PM Posted July 31, 2022 at 06:58 PM Correct. Any frequency will work. I suggested 122.8 because its transmit range is articificially limited downward, and, that it's nearly guaranteed not to be in use as a nearby control facility frequency. Cheers, -R.
