Below are some examples of how the conversation goes in Europe, more or less. For an IFR flight plan, you wouldn't typically get the "pass your message": Radar, BIGJET 1234, FL 280, inbound WAYPNT BIGJET 1234, identified For a VFR flight plan, it depends on what you want. Three notable situations: Flight information Transit control zone Landing For flight information: Information, F-ABCD F-ABCD, Information, pass your message F-ABCD, Cessna 172, VFR from Origin to Destination, 15 miles south of Somewhere, 2500 feet, SomewhereElse 25 "25" is the estimated time of arrival, as in 16:25. For transit: Radar, F-ABCD F-ABCD, Radar, pass your message F-ABCD, Cessna 172, VFR from Origin to Destination, 2500 feet. ReportingPoint 25.
