Mahdi Salek Posted August 26, 2022 at 10:20 AM Posted August 26, 2022 at 10:20 AM (edited) Hi, I'm very new to VATSIM. it supposed to be my first flight this afternoon, I wanted to have a short fly from YMND ( Class G airspace at Maitland, NSW Australia) to YSCO (Class G at Scone, NSW Australia). I could see the Mel Centre in my range in vPilot I tuned to that freq. I could hear the Controller and also all the other Aircrafts but controller couldn't hear me. I went to Sydney to have an "Audio Check" with the tower and it was successful but I don't know why they couldn't hear me. Then I asked the controller with text and he mentioned it is because of the distance and he gave me another Freq which that helped. my question is: 1. If the distance was the issue, how could I listen and not transmit. 2. How can I find the Freq. that the first controller gave me with text if I wasn't able to reach him via text? I checked VAT-Spy and the second Freq. was not listed there. Any help would be so appreciated.
