David Black Posted October 15, 2022 at 07:52 PM Posted October 15, 2022 at 07:52 PM (edited) A few people are reprting over on the VSR discord that incoming direct messages are no longer producing an audible warning. This is a potential issue for VR users whan a controller makes contact via a DM. Has anyone else had this issue recently? thanks /DB Edited October 15, 2022 at 07:53 PM by David Black
Robert Shearman Jr Posted October 17, 2022 at 07:13 PM Posted October 17, 2022 at 07:13 PM What do you have set up as your default audio device, as in the one selected in your Windows system tray? That's the device that vPilot should be sending notification sounds to. Cheers, -R.
David Black Posted October 17, 2022 at 10:12 PM Author Posted October 17, 2022 at 10:12 PM Thanks, numerous people had the issue so it wasn’t a windows config issues. Turns out it is by design, an incoming direct message plays a wav file with three beeps which can be heard in VR, however follow up messages play a different quieter wav file. Copy across the louder file works. We are looking to having louder files for VR.
Robert Shearman Jr Posted October 23, 2022 at 02:15 AM Posted October 23, 2022 at 02:15 AM You can edit or replace the .wav files in the Sounds folder within the install directory. Cheers, -R.
