The Arabian vACC welcomes everyone to our World Cup event Welcome to Qatar happening on Saturday 19th of November 2022 in collaboration with the VATSIM Sub-Sahara Division, VATSIM Middle East & North Africa Division, Belux vACC, Morocco vACC, the Arabian vACC, VATSPA, the French vACC, the Saudi Arabia vACC, VATSIM Iran, and VATSIM Korea!

This is your chance to bring one of the qualified teams to the host country of Qatar where arrival services will be provided at both Hamad Intl. (OTHH) and Doha Intl. (OTBD) since its reopening specifically for the World Cup! Qatar will be providing arrival services from 15:00 till 20:00 UTC. This means you are able to choose a wide range of aircraft into Qatar including private jet aircraft such as the Challenger 600!

The following departure airports will be open at the following times in order to provide you with departure services and to make sure you fit your departure within our arrival window at Hamad Intl. & Doha Intl.

  • DGAA will be open from 09:00 till 10:30 UTC
  • DTTA will be open from 11:00 till 13:00 UTC
  • EBBR will be open from 09:00 till 1200 UTC
  • FKKD will be open from 10:00 till 11:00 UTC
  • GMMN will be open from 10:00 till 12:00 UTC
  • GOBD will be open from 09:00 till 10:00 UTC
  • LEMD will be open from 10:00 till 12:00 UTC
  • LFPG will be open from 09:00 till 12:00 UTC
  • OEJN will be open from 15:00 till 18:00 UTC
  • OIIE will be open from 14:00 till 17:00 UTC
  • RKSI will be open from 04:00 till 06:00 UTC

While arriving in both Hamad Intl. and Doha Intl. airports it is very important that pilots are arriving with an up-to-date AIRAC cycle from AIRAC 2210 onwards as the airspace of Doha has recently gone a restructure in procedures and the implementation of a new Flight Information Region (FIR)!

In order to have a pleasant event and an efficient arrival into Qatar we recommend pilots to fly the following route(s):

I have to say that I didn't like event today...more than 1 hour vectoring during "approach"...and fuel on board ended...so I had to didconnect becouse I didn't see that there will be landing in the future...and landed in OBBI offline...
