Greetings Friends, I went through the 4 steps and passed the test and even sent in a copy of my PPL. That was a week ago today. Still have not received any kind of download info or anything to tell me how to hook up to the network. Does it usually take so long? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Benjamin,

welcome to VATSIM! I am not sure what you mean. Once you pass your "new member orientation test" you should be able to connect to the network. Did you receive an e-mail containing your VATSIM ID number and your VATSIM password? That's all you'll need to connect to VATSIM as observer in a radar client or with any of the pilot clients that are available. If you don't know where to start, try one of the many tutorial videos on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=first+steps+vatsim

What flight simulator software are you going to use?

Andreas, Thanks for the reply. I am using MSFS 2020. I thought I was waiting for an email download link. I will try the link you suggested. Thanks again!

What do you want to download? The pilot client? I suggest, for starters, to use "vpilot": https://vpilot.rosscarlson.dev/

Aircraft AI models to display other pilots: download and extract content into your "Community"-folder. Then use the VMR-file with vpilot: https://github.com/Samueleonard/AIG-ModelMatching-For-MSFS
