dannydog Posted November 1, 2022 at 08:50 PM Posted November 1, 2022 at 08:50 PM The title says it, windows antivirus flags the vPilot as suspicious. I ran it under virustotal and some of the parts said it was a trojan. The link I followed to download it - https://vpilot.rosscarlson.dev/Download Is this false positive, or have I clicked on the wrong thing?
Ross Carlson Posted November 1, 2022 at 09:37 PM Posted November 1, 2022 at 09:37 PM That's the correct link. Sounds like "virustotal" is being a bit paranoid. 😄 Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC

Board of Governors Don Desfosse Posted November 2, 2022 at 01:14 AM Board of Governors Posted November 2, 2022 at 01:14 AM It's being paranoid. There are tens of thousands in our community that use vPilot. If there were a real issue, we'd know it by now. It says the latter any time it is not a file that is widely downloaded, since it hasn't had enough time to build up a reputation. I recently released an update to vPilot, and that may have "reset" the reputation. Gabriel Goncalves Posted November 2, 2022 at 02:47 PM Posted November 2, 2022 at 02:47 PM No, it shows the following, I guess it is because it shows as unknown publisher. Windows protected your PC. Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk. App: vPilot-Setup-3.4.7.exe Publisher: Unknown publisher
