The title says it, windows antivirus flags the vPilot as suspicious. I ran it under virustotal and some of the parts said it was a trojan.

The link I followed to download it - https://vpilot.rosscarlson.dev/Download

Is this false positive, or have I clicked on the wrong thing?

That's the correct link. Sounds like "virustotal" is being a bit paranoid. 😄

But, windows defender is also blocking it. But, if it's being paranoid, I'll get it in that case.

It's being paranoid.  There are tens of thousands in our community that use vPilot.  If there were a real issue, we'd know it by now.

Did Windows Defender say it contained a virus, or just that it wasn't trusted? It says the latter any time it is not a file that is widely downloaded, since it hasn't had enough time to build up a reputation. I recently released an update to vPilot, and that may have "reset" the reputation.

No, it shows the following, I guess it is because it shows as unknown publisher.

Windows protected your PC.

Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk.

App:

vPilot-Setup-3.4.7.exe
Publisher:

Unknown publisher

Said it wasn't trusted, what Gabriel showed.
