Chriss Klosowski Posted November 3, 2022 at 04:48 PM Posted November 3, 2022 at 04:48 PM Today I announce an update on the status of the Kuwait & Iraq vACC. After several months of inactivity, the divisional staff have taken the decision to turn its status from active to inactive with the vACC and its airspaces now turning into OpenSkies. Resident controllers are invited to send a transfer request to an active vACC via helpdesk.vatsim.me while visiting controllers will now require an OpenSkies endrosement. Visiting controllers who do not yet have this endorsement shall send a ticket via helpdesk.vatsim.me if they meet the requirements of our OpenSkies policy available on our website. We thank the Kuwait & Iraq vACC Staff (Joseph, Mariano, and Nasser) for their work since the opening of the vACC and wish them the best of luck! daniel treloar Posted November 4, 2022 at 10:30 AM Posted November 4, 2022 at 10:30 AM Let's remember thanks is also due to Matt McEwen, who is also in part responsible for establishing, developing the vACC to what it was, until shortly before its closure. I loved flying in the airspace. Thanks again to Joseph, Mariano, Nasser and Matt for their contributions! 👀 1
