A question about DCL (and PDC)

Hi all. I have a question regarding non-verbal clearances. As of now we are used to getting PDC via Hoppie Telex (and not direct CPDLC) and then get the answer back via CPDLC (in Europe). This is how it is also implemented in the Fenix and FBW Airbus'.
Now ToLiss has released their first version of the A346 with CPDLC (but not PDC) where we instead log on to a station and request a route clearance. The discussion is now whether this is possible at Vatsim and more specifically, in Europe? Someone stated that in the US you log on to KUSA and receive your clearance (DCL) there and remain logged on, until you are airborne, where the connection automatically is severed. Is this something that can be/is emulated on the US network?
To put this in context, the developer in the discussion (Gliding Kiwi) said that his testers had no issues getting clearances this way.
Personally, I have tested the system with Hoppie's own ATC client and technically, it is possible via the network, but are the Euroscope plugins able to handle it? Some say that logon requests to ground are automatically rejected.

Cheers,

Michael
