Bob Donovan Posted December 4, 2022 at 01:32 AM Posted December 4, 2022 at 01:32 AM After 20+ years on the network, I would really love to download my flight log and import it to excel and play around in a pivot table to see my most visited airports, ,most used aircraft, longest flight etc... Is there such a way to download to CSV? If not - has there ever been discussion or any public demand for it? That data is a fantastic piece of my flight sim history that seems to be preserved nicely. Wish I could get to it. Anyone else feel the same?
Christian Kovanen Posted December 4, 2022 at 04:57 AM Posted December 4, 2022 at 04:57 AM @Bob Donovan No CSV download is available, but you can use the API to get that data. You can use https://api.vatsim.net/api/ratings/{CID}/connections/ to get your connection history and https://api.vatsim.net/api/ratings/{CID}/flight_plans/ to get your flight plans. Sadly the Swagger documentation for the API is currently down pending the release of API v2. Maybe someone with some programming skills will be able to create a CSV download so the data is manageable. Do you know if the data is available all the way back to 2001? I only saw a few pages with those links.

Christian Kovanen Posted December 8, 2022 at 10:42 AM Posted December 8, 2022 at 10:42 AM @Bob Donovan Those should report any data VATSIM has, the same as what https://stats.vatsim.net/ shows. Connection history is complete, but old flight plans are deleted after a few years. If you haven't saved your flight plans elsewhere, they are long gone.
