VATSIM & FS Live Traffic Liveries

Dear VA Partners/Associates,

we are pleased to announce that starting today, any of our Partner and Associate Virtual Airlines may send in their aircraft liveries to be included on the FS Live Traffic Liveries project (FSLTL). FSLTL populates your skies with live aircraft fully interreacting with default MSFS ATC, is easy to set up and use via the FlyByWire installer tool, no complicated configuration, and comes VATSIM ready for online use! Some of the features of FSLTL include:

Easy install

Easy installation, setup, and updates is our goal at FSLTL. Simple installer automatically downloads and installs all available aircraft and paints ready for takeoff in the virtual world.

Over 1,125 aircraft liveries with more being added

Comprehensive set of liveries from all around the world from major international to regional airlines. All custom painted in 4K for FSLTL with PBR effects. Intelligent fallback system if no model or livery found.

Native models and custom effects

Built with glTF models for better performance, reduced stutters, and CTD avoidance. Improved ground roll on take-off and landing. Full effects including custom lighting, contrails, heat haze and other effects including interaction with jetways and ground services.

VATSIM ready

FSLTL is fully VATSIM ready with an up-to-date VMR file provided.

As FSLTL is being widely adopted across the community, we encourage our Partners and Associates to submit (up to 15 liveries) to the VATSIM Virtual Airlines department, to be reviewed and submitted to FS Live Traffic Liveries. 
Livery guidelines for VA artists

MSFS has very different texture requirements compared to legacy simulators. As
result, older livery dds files should not be used and fresh art completed. Adjusted
templates have been made available. Artists with saves olders templates can use
these also however you must ensure the following:

* Cabin window layers are turned off
* Shadow, shading & highlight layers are turned off
* 2048x2048 size required.
* DDS files must be DXT3 with Mipmapping enabled
* Final DDS should not be flipped vertically
* If your livery contains the VATSIM Logo, it must be in accordance with our branding guidelines

If you wish to submit your liveries, you may do so by compressing your liveries in a .zip format, and submitting the download link via https://support.vatsim.net, or our discord server, which you may join by linking your VATSIM & Discord accounts on https://community.vatsim.net
