Ross Carlson Posted December 21, 2022 at 10:26 PM Posted December 21, 2022 at 10:26 PM vERAM 1.3.8 is now available for download from the website or via automatic update within the client. This version adds a one-click track feature where you can start a track on a target without knowing its callsign and without it needing to be squawking its assigned beacon code. This is to make it quicker and easier to get tracks started on all the aircraft in your airspace when you first sign on, and to make it easier to track aircraft entering your airspace from an adjacent center that isn't currently staffed, when in reality it would always be staffed and sending you a handoff. To use the new feature, hold CTRL+SHIFT and left click on the target. This will automatically compose a QT message in the MCA with the "D" specifier. (This specifier tells ERAM to correlate the track even if the target is not squawking its assigned code.) You can then press ENTER to submit the QT message. As with other commands, you can also hold CTRL+SHIFT and middle click on the target to compose and submit the QT message immediately. Andrew Morkunas Posted December 24, 2022 at 12:42 PM Posted December 24, 2022 at 12:42 PM Thank you so much for this function. So much easier to retrack aircraft after a crash or Internet disconnection. Andrew Morkunas Twitch: padre_andrew ATC Simulations
