Marc Sieffert Posted January 7, 2023 at 05:02 PM Posted January 7, 2023 at 05:02 PM (edited) Hi, I am using WIN10 with XP11 and Zibo and my system crashed with following info: 1:05:56.155 xPilot/XPMP2 ERROR Sound.cpp:835/SoundUpdatesDone: FMOD Error 36 - 'The vectors passed in are not unit length, or perpendicular.' in FMOD_System_Set3DListenerAttributes 1:05:56.155 xPilot/XPMP2 ERROR Sound.cpp:836/SoundUpdatesDone: Please report the following details as a reply to https://bit.ly/LTSound36 1:05:56.155 xPilot/XPMP2 ERROR Sound.cpp:838/SoundUpdatesDone: Camera roll=-6.109, heading=5.012, pitch=326.834 1:05:56.155 xPilot/XPMP2 ERROR Sound.cpp:839/SoundUpdatesDone: normForw x=-0.544973, y=0.087358, z=-0.833890 1:05:56.155 xPilot/XPMP2 ERROR Sound.cpp:840/SoundUpdatesDone: normUpw x=0.053259, y=0.996916, z=0.057628 Is this a known issue? EDIT: I just saw that the XPilot folder (XPilot/win_x64) does include a FMOD file. It might be that this FMOD files had some issues with the FMOD files from the plane... Should this file perhaps be deleted or will the communication with the controllers not work anymore...? Thanks! Justin Shannon Posted January 7, 2023 at 06:01 PM Posted January 7, 2023 at 06:01 PM Do not delete any of the FMOD files. This is a known issue and will be fixed in the next release. 1 Controller (C3), Los Angeles ARTCC Developer: xPilot, vATIS

But today I up graded to release 43 and got a crash of XP11 again. I usually never have crashes... But this time with another notification: :44:12.923 E/GFX/VK: Memory heap 2 has overstepped its budget!0:44:12.923 E/GFX/VK: Heap usage is 119275520, heap budget is 1051197440:44:12.923 E/GFX/VK: Sitting at 153 deletions, the defragmenter is running! I have WIN10 with 32 GB RAM ... I saw that when flying with VATSIM some ATC commands (see example below) seems to work in the background... Justin Shannon Posted January 15, 2023 at 07:15 PM Posted January 15, 2023 at 07:15 PM No, xPilot doesn’t interface with the X-Plane ATC. If there’s a crash report (https://beta.xpilot-project.org/#/xplane-crash) you can upload it to a file sharing website (like Google Drive) and I can take a look at it to confirm it’s not xPilot. Justin Shannon Posted January 15, 2023 at 07:57 PM Posted January 15, 2023 at 07:57 PM (edited) Is there a crash report? It should either be a .dmp or .rpt file inside the output/crash_reports folder. From the log you posted, it looks like a Vulkan crash, which is often associated with a video driver crash. 0:44:12.923 E/GFX/VK: Memory heap 2 has overstepped its budget! 0:44:12.923 E/GFX/VK: Heap usage is 119275520, heap budget is 105119744 0:44:12.923 E/GFX/VK: Sitting at 153 deletions, the defragmenter is running! 0:44:13.048 E/GFX/VK: Notifying user that heap 2 has overstepped its budget 0:44:13.048 E/GFX/VK: Heap usage is 119275520, heap budget is 105119744 Edited January 15, 2023 at 09:30 PM by Justin Shannon Typo 1 Controller (C3), Los Angeles ARTCC Developer: xPilot, vATIS
