I'm sorry if I'm creating this topic in the wrong place, but I couldn't find a better place.

I'm having trouble starting the "studies" to get my PPL(Brazilian division).

Relying on virtual airlines for this is a bit annoying, the only virtual airline in my division (virtual gold) doesn't seem to be open for new registration (i guess)

I already took a Private Pilot course in real life (although I don't have a license, just the course), and I'm finding the way to go to get the PPL very difficult

There is no need to join a VA to get your P1 rating. The complete list of ATOs (Authorized Training Organizations) is here:
https://my.vatsim.net/pilots/atos

Several of them are standalone meaning they take students regardless of region or airline membership..

sorry about that but i find it very confusing. It is easier to take the test than to start studying to obtain the right to take the exam on my opinion

I've tried several, but I'm forwarded to a website, which forces me to register with V.A.
There is nothing "intuitive" like "click here to start studying for the vatsim exam" As I said, leaving this to a third party is very poorly managed and confusing.(one more time...my opinion)

Actually, as you ought to know, that is exactly what happens in the real world. Every country has its own standards for pilot licenses and the local CAA authorises training organisations to conduct training and testing. So VATSIM also has authorised training organisations, but with a set of overall standards for each rating, which each ATO gobally must meet. These "third party" organisations are not actually third party at all. They are VATSIM accredited, monitored, and staffed. They are part of VATSIM.

I understand, but the virtual airline in my country (gold virtual), doesn't want to accept me to get their study material, and then get the vatsim licenses, because my only intention is that, they only accept me if I become a pilot virtual by goldvirtual, with monthly goals... that doesn't interest me, I just want to get access to studies and get the right to take the exam... now you understand why involving 3rd party in this is so complicated? in short, they only register me if I become their pilot and meet monthly goals, I don't think it's fair. As I said, I'm not interested in joining virtual airliners and meeting goals.

As Tomas said, you don't need to go to a VA. VATSUR is also in South America and is able to train you towards PPL. Meanwhile, I'll talk to the member of the Pilot Training Depoartment responsible for running the ATOs to see if that VA's policy is acceptable.

Daniel,

Could you reach out to me via email? I would like to open a conversation on getting you the ability to train for your PPL on VATSIM and get you that P1 rating.

My email is: [email protected]

Thank you so much for your time!
