In it's second year the International Flightsim Convention 2005 moves to a new venue at the Norbreck Castle Hotel. It is to take place over the weekend of Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th July. With the kind [Mod - Happy Thoughts]istance of show organiser Mark Silcock, VATSIM-UK will be attending the show. The website for the convention can be found here.

Those wishing to visit the show and stay over can take advantage of the special show rate at the Norbreck Castle Hotel. This must be done via the IFC website or the discount will not be available to you. The convention "Reach for the sky" party will be held at the hotel on the Saturday night.

Any ideas or thoughts that members may have can be emailed to me directly at [email protected]

Please remember that we have limited time, space and no money available to us so some ideas though brilliant may not be feasible due to constraints beyond our control. Remember we are a voluntary organisation without a corporate budget. So do not be be too disappointed if your suggestion is not actioned or approved for the show.

We will be live on the internet throughout the weekend. Actual stations to be staffed from the show are yet to be set but I will be encouraging all members to get involved either by coming to see us at Blackpool or logging on from home and joining in the ATC. I plan to circulate the event to all our European neighbours and hopefully it will be a busy weekend.
