x plane 7.63 with swaukboxsss 1.0 does it actualy work?

how do i find a server and conect im extreamly lost, and i have a user id and p[Mod - Happy Thoughts] but i tryd intering it in the pop up box in x plane along with a server ip and it does not work. please help i know the answer has to be simple.

 

 

also should i get xplane 8.5 or wait for mmm,.... 9
