ZSE Massive VFR

Hey guys,

 

The boys up north in ZSE are setting up a M[Mod - Happy Thoughts]ive VFR event for all you VFR pilots out there. We have no set date yet but it looks like it will be in June this year. I know everyone is sayin "oh this should be in the events forum" but this is not an event brodcast. Im just letting everyone know that we are in the process of putting it together. We are having our annual Poker Run this month on the 25th and it will be a blast. Now the M[Mod - Happy Thoughts]ive VFR is just a huge staffing of the S46 tracon in Seattle Area. We will invite all VFR pilots to fly in and out of the S46 for as long as you want and to any field inside the tracon. This is the list of fields and positions that we will hope to have open.

If we have enough controllers, we may even have DEL open for SEA, BFI, and PAE. We will also be talking to other ARTCC's for help with some positions and to open 1 or 2 fields as departure points for all you pilots that like to fly Commuter Jets into one those feilds IFR. And these fields will not be in ZSE. Mabye in ZLA with KCRQ and KVNY, ZOA with KRNO, and ZLC with KBOI. I am working on the banner as I type this and hope to have it complete soon. I see all the time in the forums why we never see much VFR traffic, well for one there are hardly ever any VFR events. We are trying to reverse that trend with this event. To make this event a success we will need all you VFR pilots to come out and fly with us in ZSE. We hope to have a set date in a couple weeks.
