Johan De Muynck 1002847 Posted March 16, 2007 at 10:11 AM Posted March 16, 2007 at 10:11 AM When I download these software and run the exe-files, there seems to be no connection with my fs9 (which is on my D-drive). I do get the "browse for which path to put the files in" and obviously select the D-drive, but the setup program doesn't say that it found my fs9. As a result, both copilot and Fsinn are now donwloaded into D/Program Files, but when I run fs9 there's no extra menu when I hit "Alt". Then I tried to download SB3, but while running the setup program it says :"ther seems to be no valid fs on your computer" ! Of course there is one (on the D-drive), and it is a valid one. Norman Blackburn Posted March 16, 2007 at 11:19 AM Posted March 16, 2007 at 11:19 AM Johan, Both these (and indeed most) FS Addons looks to see where you have installed FS. Quite clearly whilst you have FS on your system it isn't a valid installation, otherwise the applications would know where FS resides. Most often this occurs because you have copied FS from another system (perhaps this D drive was in an older computer?) or that the registry has somehow become corrupted. Either way, help is not far away. Download thisand it will soon have all your applications knowing just where to find FS. Norman
Opher Ben Peretz 882232 Posted March 16, 2007 at 01:53 PM Posted March 16, 2007 at 01:53 PM Anyone who removed FSX beta experienced losing FS9 system registration, this is the remedy. Johan De Muynck 1002847 Posted March 17, 2007 at 01:46 PM Author Posted March 17, 2007 at 01:46 PM Hello Norman, thanks for your reply. I tried the tweak you suggested, ran that program and defined the root path where fs9 resides (D/Program files/Microsoft Games/ fs9). I downloaded copilot and Fsinn again but still no luck ! I tried to put them into the suggested folder (C/Program Files/FSFDT), into D/Program Files/FSFDT, into D/Program Files/Microsoft Games/fs9..... Nothing works. Every time I ran fs9, it just froze up. I'm beginning to think I never should have put fs9 into the D-drive (Data) in the first place. Don't know why though, because it always ran perfect and I can [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ure you that it is a valid version, purchased by myself and installed on my system right there from the beginning. Ik was never copied or reinstalled.
