John Golin Posted March 19, 2007 at 12:25 AM Posted March 19, 2007 at 12:25 AM Depends. TCAS works fine for me - you might need to specify a little more information * What aircraft model are you using? * What Pilot Client? * if it's a separate addon TCAS, what package is it? Norman Blackburn Posted March 19, 2007 at 07:39 AM Posted March 19, 2007 at 07:39 AM John, Considering it is the X-Plane forum the only client available is XSB Norman

Cheers John TCAS are standard in x-plane aswell as basic FMC, weather radar etc, all your basic functions. I can't wait until the "real" FMCs get out both for boeing and airbus (i am flying boing since i only have a yoke and not a stick), but i would love to fly Airbus. But still any answer to the TCAS issue?.
Pierre Theillere 861704 Posted March 19, 2007 at 12:24 PM Posted March 19, 2007 at 12:24 PM Hi Norman! Yep, you're right: there's only XSquawkBox for X-Plane as a pilot client on VatSim! But the choice still exists to use either XSquawkBox v1.0.0 final, or the new XSquawkBox v1.0.1 b2 currently in public beta stage. So... the TCAS issue might be related to any version disrepancy or so. Anyway, I can't help much for this one, as I'm only flying either light aircrafts or helos that aren't fitted with TCAS! Keith Smith Posted March 19, 2007 at 02:17 PM Posted March 19, 2007 at 02:17 PM For TCAS to work, make sure you have the "number of aircraft to render" to be 2. It defaults to 1. If you're getting a warning message from XSB each time xplane starts regarding the number of aircraft to render, then you need to make the change. This should fix the TCAS issue.
