Lou Lavigne 916274 Posted December 3, 2004 at 01:02 AM Posted December 3, 2004 at 01:02 AM Hi, I'm brand new to VATSIM but I've been flying flight simulators for a few years. I seem to have gotten all the required software installed and operational, but I'm having difficulty finding a flight to join. I basically don't know where to start. I clicked on Netwok Stats on the VATSIM site, and I see a lot of IP addresses and other information, but I'm not sure what to do with the information. Can anyone walk this Newbie through step by step instructions on joining in on a flight? Actually, I just want to observe for a while. Thanks

Bertrand Levaux 830193 Posted December 5, 2004 at 04:19 AM Posted December 5, 2004 at 04:19 AM Lou, As far as I can see in all the "Help wanted" for Newbie connection problem ([Mod - Happy Thoughts]uming you installed all the required softwares and modules), 90% of the connection problems comes because the IP server list wich comes with SB when you downloaded it is not updated... Must see absolutely "VATSIM 103e – How to update your Squawkbox 2.x beta server list using Servinfo" in the Pilot Ressource Center. I hope it will help you...
