John White 828331 Posted April 4, 2007 at 04:37 AM Posted April 4, 2007 at 04:37 AM I have all the good gear, FS9/FSX XP heaps of HDD & RAM and all programs work fine except for one very strange view problem that started only this week. In the default Cessnas.....the VC has gone and all I can see is that the a/c seems to be about 200ft above the Rwy...this also applies to the normal cabin view, yet the chase plane view shows me firmly on the ground. I was flying a night time ILS today and looking from the cabin view I seemed to be at 3-400ft only less than half a mile from touchdown yet the ILS was telling me to ascend. I landed with a thump to my surprise well before the runway yet visually I was still airborne.....cccrazy! In chase view I was on the ground. I tried other a/c but they seem to be normal...no probs, so heres a mystery to be solved. I have not altered any parameters in these a/c
Lennart Vedin Posted April 4, 2007 at 06:18 AM Posted April 4, 2007 at 06:18 AM Your default view seams to have been located far outside your airplane. Create a new flight by select Cessana again (i.e. dont use your Cessna saved flight ). After succed you can save a new Cessna flight. If it not help then close FS, rename file "C:\Docomeents and Settings\\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9\FS9.CFG". Then start FS again. All your FS setting will be default. You can edit the file FS9.CFG manual if you find the probnlem in the file. / Lennart Vedin /
Alfredo Pacheco Jr 966120 Posted April 4, 2007 at 07:16 AM Posted April 4, 2007 at 07:16 AM Hey John, You didn't happen to change the cfg file for the a/c for viewing tower view in VRC did you?
John White 828331 Posted April 7, 2007 at 01:41 AM Author Posted April 7, 2007 at 01:41 AM Thanks guys. I compared the 172 cfg file with the 182 cfg file and found that the [views]parameters in the 182 had somehow got corrupted and was reading: -3.95,-0.85,350. The 350 should have been 3.50. How it happened I will never know. That fixed the cockpit view but the VC is still out.
John White 828331 Posted April 9, 2007 at 04:20 AM Author Posted April 9, 2007 at 04:20 AM ....and, I was able to fix the VC view by simply using the shift/enter or shift/backspce keys. We're in business again. Thanks
