Vaughan Martell 999926 Posted April 10, 2007 at 01:48 PM Posted April 10, 2007 at 01:48 PM When I first connect to servinfo it gets data. It updates several times then ultimately I get the error box with the word "Forbidden" in bold text after the first couple explanation lines in the top area of the box. I select an other server per the instructions in the information box. Then it connects ok, only to fail a short time later. Does the word "forbidden" have a meaning like I am not allowed to connect? Andrew Miller 873677 Posted April 10, 2007 at 03:50 PM Posted April 10, 2007 at 03:50 PM I have the same problem too, just something wrong with one of the information servers. I'm sure they'll have it corrected soon. Andrew Miller

Ross Carlson Posted April 10, 2007 at 05:23 PM Posted April 10, 2007 at 05:23 PM ServInfo pulls its data from one of three public data servers. It chooses which one to pull from at random, each time it updates. One of those three servers has been taken offline. We'll be replacing it or removing it from the list soon, so the error will go away. Brian Beach 915973 Posted April 10, 2007 at 06:49 PM Posted April 10, 2007 at 06:49 PM To fix the problem next time, I suggest that you remove "level27.ca" from your data servers, as that is the one that is offline. Vaughan Martell 999926 Posted April 10, 2007 at 08:36 PM Author Posted April 10, 2007 at 08:36 PM Brian, How do I do that? "Remove remove level27.ca" Do I click on an item in Servinfo or is the removed from a file in a setup somewhere? "Remove remove level27.ca" Do I click on an item in Servinfo or is the removed from a file in a setup somewhere? When you get the popup error, press the button at the bottom of the error window labeled "Data Servers". This will show a list of the current public data servers, with checkboxes next to each one. Uncheck the "level27.ca" entry and press OK. Developer: vPilot, VRC, vSTARS, vERAM, VAT-Spy Senior Controller, Boston Virtual ARTCC
