Johnathon Neilsen 955672 Posted May 6, 2007 at 09:46 PM Posted May 6, 2007 at 09:46 PM Hi Peter. PANIC stations was a HUGE sucess. We had 75 arrivals in the space of 1hr and 25min. Thats as much traffic as BNE gets in two weeks on VATSIM lol. The winner was Greg Barber touching down at exactly 2030 AEST. (0830z) the winner decides where the next one will be held. Greg has decided that MELBOURNE YMML wil host the next Panic stations on the 27th of May. Any person willing to utilise some good high quality ATC, come fly into Melbourne on the 27th May. Youll be one in about 100.
Bill Casey Posted May 7, 2007 at 07:21 AM Posted May 7, 2007 at 07:21 AM Oooh now this sounds a FUN event, the question is whether or not us Brits can find the motivation to be up at a ridiculous hour of the morning to give it a go! We've done similar things over here on a smaller scale when working a controller up to Exam level and they are huge fun for the pilots, this one is tempting since that Monday morning (UK time) is a holiday for us. Of course, any Brits flying in will be a bit bleary eyed first thing in the morning so you might have to shout loudly at us, I guess we'd also be the only sober pilots up there Bill Casey
