Hi. has anyone had problems with the views on FS9 with Vista. Just got a new PC with Vista and installed FS9. When I change views the sound file changes but the view doesn't. The only view I can change is top-down! System is Vista Home Premium, GE Force 7600 GT graphics etc. I've downloaded the latest Nvidea drivers. ANy suggestions?

Yep, right click the shortcut to FS9.exe and select Properties > Compatibility > under Settings check "Disable desktop composition". In Vista with Aero enabled, the desktop is fighting FS9 for control of the videocard. Using the instructions above will solve the battle.

Hmm, Thanks for this bit of info, i have been having the same problem with vista but i have disabled the Aero theme which also seems to work, but saying that the way jim has suggested is much better as the Aero effects are rather cool.

Thanks

Mark

Cheers,

Mark.

Jim,

Thank you very much for the tip. I didn't want or need to turn off Aero, except for the FS9 incompatibility, so your suggestion is just what I was looking for!
