Luca Vetturi 874351 Posted April 30, 2007 at 07:03 AM Posted April 30, 2007 at 07:03 AM Would it be possible to see METAR and TAF messages in vRoute? I think that the raw format would be fine Thank you! Red over white, you're all right. Italy vACC proud supporter

Michal Rok Posted April 30, 2007 at 06:44 PM Posted April 30, 2007 at 06:44 PM You mean querying by any given ICAO code? It's already available as part of route briefing, but I guess this is not convenient enough if you're asking for another feature Michal vroute.net founder
Marc Wheeler Posted May 1, 2007 at 12:53 AM Posted May 1, 2007 at 12:53 AM Hi Michal, I agree. The existing feature is nice, except that you have to build a route in order to view Metars. Would it be possible to have an ICAO box and you could enter in your code and view the latest Metar? VATSIM: P1|C3
Michal Rok Posted May 1, 2007 at 04:11 AM Posted May 1, 2007 at 04:11 AM Everything is possible . Let me announce a small contest - the person that nominates the most logical place in vroute's user interface for such a feature (you must say which screen, which tab and which location) wins the "query METAR/TAF" feature in 24 hours. OK? Michal vroute.net founder
Kyprianos Biris Posted May 1, 2007 at 09:35 AM Posted May 1, 2007 at 09:35 AM On Line -> (new tab) Weather ... to include below VATSIM METAR / TAF queries that perhaps had also a drop down choise per Region / FIR / country ... as well some weather choise per minima & maxima ... as well as a display with custom signs for extreme weather Also if you go in WX tab you could still keep favourite countries flags visible and by pressing on them having this country's METARs only displayed Basically I'm not suggesting anything new ... it's all in ServInfo; its a good source for ideas Hellenic vACC | Olympic Air Virtual Europe Region Director 2001-2011 Pilot: P5 | ATC: C3

Luiz Fellipe Carneiro 9843 Posted May 1, 2007 at 01:21 PM Posted May 1, 2007 at 01:21 PM When you click on a pilot the details can show the departure and arrival metar Also, click on a controller should show the metar When you ask for a route you can see the metar and taf When you book the system can look for taf or metar (metar if you book things < 1hour first) A new tab called Advanced WX so you can search for ICAO, or country and city To say a few ones!!
