Jeremy Castellanos 1007109 Posted May 1, 2007 at 04:59 AM Posted May 1, 2007 at 04:59 AM I am new to all this as far as becoming an ATC controller. I signed up a few days ago and have been studing from the VatUSA website and see now that they is a suspension for what 4 to 6 months for training. Why so long to tain again? Does this mean I have to wait all that time before I can start as an controller or what? If so then I don't think I can wait such a long time before I get started. Can someone fill me in here as to am I taking this the wrong way or am I correct to say that I won't be doing anything until they get this academy going again? Really don't want to wait so long. Keith Smith Posted May 1, 2007 at 05:38 AM Posted May 1, 2007 at 05:38 AM They have discontinued the use of the academy for training. That is not the same thing as suspending ALL training. You should be able to join an ARTCC and receive your training there.
