Alberto Salamanca 810743 Posted May 5, 2007 at 12:18 PM Posted May 5, 2007 at 12:18 PM Hello, In some parts of the world, ATIS is broadcasted through receive only frequencies, such as trhough a VOR frequency for example. Simulatorwise, would it be possible to listen to an ATIS being rboadcasted in 113.90 for instance? I tried it already, but Squawkbox does not seem to recognize a freuency outside the 118 - 136.95 range. Sincerely, Alberto Salamanca
Norman Blackburn Posted May 5, 2007 at 12:20 PM Posted May 5, 2007 at 12:20 PM Its not a squawkbox limitation but one of FS itself. For those places that use such a facility are there alternative frequencies? YSSY broadcasts its ATIS on a number of frequencies including one in the NAV radio spectrum. John Golin Posted May 5, 2007 at 01:01 PM Posted May 5, 2007 at 01:01 PM Your best bet is to check with the local ARTCC / Division for local frequency allocation... Cheers John Golin http://www.worldflight.com.au
