Chris Siems 842028 Posted May 9, 2007 at 04:00 PM Posted May 9, 2007 at 04:00 PM If this has been covered in another post please let me know where. We've started noticing problems with accepting controllers with 7 digit CIDs at ZFW ARTCC. I can view their VATSIM stats with 7 digits. I see them on the VATUSA ZFW roster with 7 digits. But, they are not being accepted as Student 1. They keep going back to Observer/Pilot.
Matthew Temple 880167 Posted May 9, 2007 at 04:02 PM Posted May 9, 2007 at 04:02 PM I have addressed this issue prior with the ATMs and TAs via the ATM and TA mailing lists. It is a problem with the hardcoded sections of the VATUSA website. We are building a whole new website to fix this and other problems. Steve Ogrodowski 876322 Posted May 13, 2007 at 12:00 AM Posted May 13, 2007 at 12:00 AM CID: Controller ID Number PID: Pilot ID Number VID: VATSIM ID Number CID == PID == VID They are all the number you are registered with VATSIM (1006375, in your case). Mine is 876322. Steve Ogrodowski
Norman Blackburn Posted May 13, 2007 at 02:50 AM Posted May 13, 2007 at 02:50 AM CID: Controller ID NumberPID: Pilot ID Number VID: VATSIM ID Number CID == PID == VID They are all the number you are registered with VATSIM (1006375, in your case). Mine is 876322. Actually on VATSIM there is only a CID and it is Certificate ID. The net result however is the same. Norman
